Josko Gvardiol: A problem for Tottenham

RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol is understood to have admirers at Spurs, with the Croatian international having previously emerged as a potential alternative to Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni.

While convincing the German side to sell might be difficult, noted transfer insider Pete O’Rourke (speaking to GIVEMESPORT) has tipped the defender to make a move.

“He fits the bill; he’s among their top targets. The problem for Tottenham is that RB Leipzig do not want to sell the Croatia international, and they are trying to price him out of a move.

“So, this one might just be too expensive for Tottenham this season, but he’s a left-sided centre-back who’s young with huge potential to become a big, big player in the future as well.”

Arsenal transfer news: Youri Tielemans deal could be wrapped up

Journalist Ben Jacobs has tipped Arsenal to sign Youri Tielemans this summer.

“I think, with Tielemans, Arsenal don’t have competition so much as a decision to make because if Arsenal want Tielemans, they will get Tielemans. It’s as simple as that,” he told GIVEMESPORT.

“It’s Arsenal’s decision rather than other suitors or Tielemans that have delayed or cooled this particular transfer.”

Clement Lenglet: Tottenham urged to ‘stay away’ from Barcelona defender

ESPN pundit Alejandro Moreno has urged Tottenham to steer clear of Clement Lenglet.

The Barcelona defender is a target for Spurs, who hope to secure a loan move.

“In terms of Lenglet, honestly, if I am Spurs, then I stay away,” said Moreno. “Lenglet has been a player, instead of seeing progression, we have seen regression. We have seen a guy that’s gone backwards.

“Talking about going backwards, speed is not his strength. I don’t like this match-up at all of Lenglet being exposed in the Premier League, with strikers that have speed to get around and into the channel.

“If you are playing with a back three, then guess what? Strikers will spin off, get into the channel and he is going to be forced to defend out wide. I don’t like that match-up at all.”
